A couple of weeks ago, I saw the ad that former Packers receiver Greg Jennings placed in a couple Wisconsin newspapers to say “thank you” to Packers Nation after he signed a big contract with the Minnesota Vikings. Sure, it’s tough to see one of your team’s top players go over to a rival team. But at the same time, it’s refreshing to see how classy some professional athletes are when they change teams.

Aside from his sincere message to Packers fans, one of the details that stood out to me in Jennings’ ad was his “signature phrase” that he started using a couple years ago when the Packers won Super Bowl 45. It’s a powerful message consisting ofjust two words, #BeGreat.

That’s it… Be Great. Two simple words that can apply to anyone, anywhere, regardless of what we do.

Be Honest. Be Strong. Be Humble. Be Happy. Be Authentic. Be Gentle. Be Quiet. Be Careful. Be Nice. Be Original.

There are so many words that you could choose to put after the word “Be”.

But it seems like the word “Great” is a pretty versatile choice. Regardless of who you are and what you do, striving to “be great” can apply to every challenge you face on any given day.

Ultimately, every day you wake up you have to “be something”, right?
